A wonderful tribute to TH - The music tweaks my heartstrings…

K & I remember critiquing The Gallery at length, but never did send any of our Artwork in as we wanted it back again.
(Every piece was precious to us at that age!)

A man who inspired many many people.

I'd forgot the Vision On frog logo thing. Brilliant.

It's real jolt hearing them one after the other isn't it Lil? Do remember that squirmle type worm that would whizz around the studio. The bloke painting lines on an airfield, and that cartoon of someone digging (actually called Digger)? wish I could find Digger's theme music though..

A polite genius, F-Ron, with a fine eye for a cravat/silk scarve too - you can buy those logo tees here ...

Hey there. I have no clue who this Tony is. Sorry to hear of his passing though.

Cool tunes. This is right up the alley of so much of what I listen to. Thanks for posting these clips.

Have a great week. Cheers!

The Return of the Los Palmas 7 always made me think of the gallery music. They're not really anything alike, but I can sort of see why my mind made the connection.

Vision On was just as surreal as the Pythons if not more.

Vision On was an arts based BBC kids show Keith, using all styles of hand skills, but intercut with animations and cartoons and as Simon says, very Monty Python in places, with some surrealist interludes and mad inventors..

Didn't they use Cavatina for The Gallery for a while as well?

I remember the worm, there was a craze for them back in the 70’s.
Also remember the Airfield paintings but not Digger?
Hope you find the music...

At Last, somewhere that doesn't keep going on about Morph. I Know Tony Hart will be forever associated with him but as far As I am aware he didn't create him. Vision On was compulsory viewing in my house. It was only later that I realised that I had picked up the entire English sign language alphabet by watching it!

Thanks for the music PM. I'll miss the great man more than you'll know.

spot on Mondo. TH had to be one of my all time faves both as a kid and as an adult. So enthuseatic, but never 'dumbed down'. Alwas seemed like a really nice guy too.

Thanks all - loved his clipped phrasing too, where he'd drop the first word of his sentences
IE..

thought we'd do something with marker pens today, quite simple, just need to...

if it hadnt been for Tony Hart I wouldnt have picked up the pens and started drawing...FACT.
Massively missed at Oddsock mansions already.
