This week's Funky Friday brings you, what at first glance appears to be, a hair bear bunch of grizzle-faced ol' rockers and gnarly Catweazle-a-likes who've spent all night a'supping at the soup kitchen. But, have no fear these fuzzy faced funkateers are as gilded with 'the groove' as they are with beards, burns and barnets . Heads, Hands and Little Feat it is then...
Little Feat - Spanish Moon
Head Hands and Feet - The More You Get The More You Want
Followed with two chunks of funk from unlikeliest looking bunch of fatback-packers ever - The Average White Band - Hamish Stuart, he of the Azlan style ginger 'fro, (spottable at 0:05 in the first clip), later went on to work with Paul McCartney. Although he's made some strikingly bizarre claims against Macca since.
Now if these are that type of tunes that tickle your tastebuds, why not try an earful of Axe Victim's AXE FM Radio Download show for one full hour of quality cuts covering all points from hairy rockers to heavy funkers - you can check it right

Looking at them you sure wouldn't have expected much in terms of good groovy music. Great clips. Have a cool and funky weekend.
If it wasn't for the fact that I'm seeing this hairy lot on here, I would’ve given them a very wide swerve indeed and missed out; many thanks PM…
Perhaps there's room for a new genre Keith - 'fuzzy-funk'
Have you had a peep at the Cut The Cake clip Lil - its probably the hipshakingest of this hairy mob..
shouldnt you be givin a shout our to 'ol Martin from Southend here Mondo??!! Didn't he introduce you to the world of Little Feet back in the late 80's with a kindly donated LP???
P
You're right P - good ol' Mart - and he used to come to all my gigs a couple of years ago. I'll raise a glass to him tonight.
I love your Friday posts Mondo! You have a great way of kicking off the weekend... I especially like the Little Feat 'Spanish Moon' song. Such a coolness to it.
Also, thank you so much for the link to the 'The Wolfmen' post. I hadn't heard of this project before and it's definitely an interesting listen, I hadn't heard Sinead's voice in ages and she still sounds very much like herself. Lovely voice.
Thank you and hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Cool AWB stuff Mondo. I once met them outside Tesco's in Pitsea!!
They were doing a gig at the Cliffs that night and were at a Essex Radio Roadshow (why they were at Tesco's in Pitsea is beyond me).
Oi, where's my album?
I love Heads Hands & Feet. And 'Put it Where You Want It' was one of the best songs AWB did in my opinion. Thanks also for the kind shout out re the AXE FM Radio Download Hour. Show 14 Part 2. is now up - The Beatles Remasters Request Hour! You and Piley are both mentioned.
Great tune isn't Gabbi I'd love to see it as Christmas number one..
AWB in Tesco's Pitsea Marm'? Bizarreness! gotta give that a punt in the next podcast.
I'll drop off with Piley Martin *tries to remember where he 'filed' it*
Halfway through show 1 AV - I'll pulling and playing 2 today
little feat are one of those new wonders for me- just soaking it all up al that beauty. and all that hair obviously. and i've still to be convinced that awb were scottish. it's practically an x file and i'm scully. it just can't be....
They're a strange bunch Ally - they look like ELO, but sound like the Fatback Band.
