Funky Friday - Schläger Top
For today's rummage around der Welt of Germanic shenanigans and Teutonic rockers , we won’t be rooting through the well documented and commendable end of sweaty basements and bierkellers - kindergartens to the sixties beat boomers. Or the Vorsprung durch Technik of Kraftwerk, Can and Neu! Not even a peep at one of the finest live music shows ever Beat Club/Music Laden - why did this TOTP meets OGWT format always draw out such punchy performances from the rock aristocracy of Bowie, Roxy Music, T.Rex, Tina Turner and umm The Sweet.
Nein! Friday's kitsch and kooky doings are a vier-way variation on the frothy pop option known as Schläger. Now - Mach Schau!

More cheese than a Friday night fondue feast in Frankfurt!
Are you me? That's like I've died and gone to heaven.
If you haven't yet, have a peep at the In-KrautI albums ISB. Wall-to-wall Wunderbar..
Thought this may be up your Straße FC. And the Les Humphries single - I grabbed for a snip. 50p at last year's folk festival
Felt sure thast Funky Friday this week would be Tulips from Amsterdan Vs Viva Espania!
Or that rotten Spanish Sex Pistols Vs some Dutch punk horror??
p
Sort of lost me World cup buzz - now England are out of P..
Cindy und Bert (und dog)- priceless! We've got some German friends, so I must make some C&B enquiries.
Shoulda been "Järger Läger" surely??!
Some funny ol' frugging afoot isn't there John - wouldn't be surprised to find Cindy's a bloke in drag and Bert vice versa.
PS can you ask if they've got a copy of Hugo Strasse's Rocket/Band On The Run/Devil Gate Drive medley? Buzzed to hear it..
Bloody hell forgotten about that quality brand P, £1.99 for two litres or summat wasn't it
