Rewind your mind by a few months and you may remember some home-made, hand-drawn artwork that appeared on the PM blog - here and here.
Creator of these pieces of amazingness and Odd Sock blogger Paul McDonald has launched a website showcasing his wares. He's an all-round good guy and honorary Southender (being Basildon based) so why not pop on over and have a peep...

Another extract from Paul's portfolio is 'Birds in The Park' pictured above, which Mrs PM instantly fell in love with (a copy now hangs framed and signed in our kitchen). While it's early morning mood popped these two tunes a'playing in my mind's ear
Vashti Bunyan - Wayward Hum

I'll have to check out that site. I hope your week has started off well. Cheers!
Thanks Keith got splatted by a bird in a tree this morning, and had a throbbing hangover yesterday - not the greatest start - but I'm on the bounce-back now...
the goldfrapp tune is always a good one I like the distance between the sweet music and the pithy lyrics which I only deciphered via the lyric booklet.
Yikes - those lyric are slightly jarring BL, try the Vashti tune too it's very similar - but mumbled and hummed all the way..
PS massive oversight on my part - you weren't on the blogroll. Apologies - all sorted now though
they are indeed super is the lucky dip one from yer last thing - where'd you find that gem?
Thanks for the kind words Mr C...Im currently working on some more pieces in a style that I like to refer to as 'could have appeared on one of my nans tea towels when I was a nipper' and will have them up on the site as soon as theyre off the drawing board!! also working in a similar style on an acoustic guitar as well which is something different for me!
Keep up the exceptional, as always, work!
Paul
p.s - Seventh Tree is a seriously delicious album but the newie from Bat For Lashes really takes the mystic folk biscuit...I described it with the following four words this morning on Twitter 'Relentless in its Brilliance'!
Lucky Dip was Maurice Askew Ally - a graphic designer working for Granada TV in the 50s and 60s
Really like his work, how great to have one decorating the kitchen!

There's a few more of Paul's bits on the Odd Sock Blog too Gabbi (link's in the blog-bit)- an I'm looking forward to his 'nans tea towels' style-work coming soon..
Fabulosa isn't it Ally...
sounds like you got a lucky dip yerself on Monday morning PM! Never understood why getting bird doo's on your head is suposed to be lucky?? Lucky for everyone else surely??
Love that artwork, can see why Mrs PM was taken with it. Got something of a 70's look about it too.
P
